DHC400 disc centrifuge separator is used for liquid-solid separation.DHC400 disc centrifuge separator can be operated manually,automatically and remotely. DHC400 disc centrifuge separator is simple in structure and easy in maintenance.

Working principle 

The feed containing the liquids and the solids is introduced to the rotating centrifuge bowl 

from the top via a stationary inlet pipe,and is accelerated in a distributor before entering 

the disc stack .It is between the discs that the separation takes place. The liquid phase 

moves through the disc stack towards the centre of the bowl, from where it is pumped out 

under pressure by means of a built-in paring disc .The heavy solids phase is moved 

outwards by centrifugal force to the bowl periphery and from there through concentrate 

tubes and internal nozzles into the paring tube chamber, where the concentrate is skimmed off 

by the paring tube and discharged under pressure. Optional sludge discharge valves in the 

bowl periphery open automatically when the bowl is operated in low speed. The bowl is 

mounted on a vertical spindle (10) driven by a vertically mounted motor via a flat belt. 

Design features 

The centrifuge is based on a unique, semi-hermetic design concept. 

The hermetic,ensures a gentle,non-destructive acceleration of the feedstock up to 

full bowl speed. The outlets on the heavy and light phases are open,reducing the pressure 

drop across the separator. The feed-pressure requirement of the machine is therefore low.

The outlets are equipped with stationary paring discs for removal of the different phases under 

pressure. With the working environment in mind, the centrifuge is designed to operate at low 

noise levels. This is achieved by means of a rubber-damped bearing assembly, jacketed 

frame and an outer bowl design engineered for low wind noise. 

Special features

The Control Panel handles the control and supervision of the centrifuge with clean-in-place 

automatically.The replaceable nozzles have inserts made of synthetic sapphire,which is 

suitable for abrasive solid.The liquid and solid are both discharged under pressure which 

prevents foaming,simplifies installation by eliminating pump systems and improves hygiene.

Standard design 

All liquid-wetted parts are made in high-grade stainless steel except rubber gaskets.

A special controlled-torque motor eliminates the need for a clutch between the motor and the centrifuge.The 

centrifuge is equipped with sensors for monitoring of bowl speed,vibration level and lubrication 

oil pressure.
